My approach

I am trained as a psychodynamic therapist, which means that I believe that our feelings, experiences and identities in the present day can often be linked to, or influenced by, parts of our past.

My approach may suit you if you want to understand yourself more deeply and make lasting change.

Rather than simply finding a set of strategies to manage how you're feeling, I will help you slow things down and get curious about the patterns, relationships and experiences that have brought you here.

This isn't about judging the ways you've learned to cope, or taking away the things that make you who you are. It's about understanding yourself more fully, so that you can have more choice in how you respond to what life brings.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or even knowing what you want to change. We can start with where you are and work it out together.

Rather than reaching quickly for a strategy or a solution, I’m comfortable being curious about what is happening and taking the time to understand it together. Sometimes that means sitting with uncertainty and discomfort, or making space for something that hasn't quite found words yet.
